I reflect upon my own strengths and weaknesses on a daily basis. I make it a goal to become a better teacher, and I know that the only way I can grow is by actively seeking out strategies and people that help me do so. I am constantly seeking advice from my mentors, veteran teachers, my peers, and online resources to help me adjust my teaching to meet the needs of my students. I set weekly goals in my planner that help me prioritize what I need to work on and what I should keep doing. Throughout my time so far within the realm of education, metacognition and self-talk have been emphasized in such a way that I could not imagine becoming the teacher I am today without the necessary time to reflect upon myself and my potential.
